1. The 1 day Essentials Home Brewing course

This is a step-by-step brewing course designed for the home brewer who has some experience with extract or grain brewing and wishes to learn about the basic methods and procedures in a succinct format to produce more rounded flavoursome beers.  This course forms a good foundation to the more advanced Masterbrew course home brewing course.

2. The 4 day Masterbrew Home Brewing course

Designed for the home-brewer who has had some experience with extract brews and some all grain brewing and wishes to learn the finer points of full grain mash brewing and the production of more rounded flavoursome beers. This course can be taken up as a stand alone course or as a way to fast-track your progress, continuing on from the Essentials home brewing course.

Brewing at a microbrewery

The course is also well suited to the brewer who is considering starting a microbrewing operation or for those people in the brewing industry including brewers, sales representatives, marketing, laboratory and retail staff. A well designed and comprehensive course for the more initiated.

  • Malts, Hops, yeast, and water
  • The design of different styles of beer
  • Ale brewing versus lager brewing
  • Brewing using a small scale microbrewing plant (500L).
  • Take home boutique beer packaged at the brewery
